Lempeng Kelapa

'Goreng lempeng, lempengnya hangus...' remember this Mamat's song about a girl with lempeng..?

I had lempeng kelapa for breakfast this morning at my usual place..the best thing about this lempeng is because it was freshly made with fresh grated young coconut and it's not oily at all. My choice of gravy are Sambal Tumis and Kari Ayam, a perfect combination to enjoyed this lempeng

This gerai is located at Gate One Putrajaya, if you come from Bangi Lama or Abu Bakar Baginda, you will notice this shop on your left, not far from Presint 14. It is just a simple shop but they have good local food for breakfast like roti canai, nasi lemak and lontong besides my favourite lempeng.

When I was a kid, my grandma always made this lempeng nyiok...especially when it was rainy days..lempeng and kopi panas...fuuhhh...what a blast..

I forgot to mentioned about the name of this shop : it's Syameera..the entance looks like a nursery with longan tree welcoming their guest :-0

Nasi Lemak and Nasi Goreng

I normally cook on weekend but last Saturday I just ordered hubby to bought me Nasi Lemak from cafeteria at our community centre. There variety of breakfast menu from karipap, kuih-muih, tosai, roti canai and roti bom to nasi kerabu and laksam.

My heavy nasi lemak: Telur Mata Kerbau with Sambal Tempe....put aside the cholesterol :-)

Having Nasi Lemak by the window on Saturday morning

This is my dinner on Friday night, just a simple Nasi Goreng with broccoli and carrot plus egg, anchovies and chicken.

I don't like using instant nasi goreng paste, I always used chillie powder or just chillie boh and sometimes I just used some pounded fresh chillie mix with onion or shallot plus garlic and dried shrimps...and no belacan for me...

JM Bariani House :Alamanda Putrajaya

We had lunch at this restaurant at :JM Bariani House Alamanda outlet. This restaurant is located in front of Alamanda's square/esplanade and at the same row with Secret Recipe and other restaurant.

This is the cashier counter with big photo of food on the wall..actually they are many big printed photo decorating their wall...and we kept on guessing what the picture are coz most of them are closed-up..interesting dining experience I must say

The menu of JM Bariani House : variety kind of beriani, mee bandung etc and the price are consider reasonable.

Food counter with typical design

Happy faces after having beriani

My beriani daging, this beriani is quite light compared to other place's and the meat taste good and tender. The set comes with acar buah but only in small portion. They also serves chicken beriani, fried chicken beriani and lamb beriani.

Dessert: Cream Caramel ; I think the top should be more brown..it taste just fine but maybe they should improve the presentation. We ordered 6, but only got 4 because they said that it was sold out and so does their mutton beriani:-(

Our starter: Tauhu Bakar and Rojak Petis: same gravy for both dish but for Rojak Petis the fruits should be thicker. Tauhu Bakar- bake tofu with cucumber, jicama (sengkuang), bean sprout with chillie and nuts gravy.
Their Rojak Petis is just average with sliced pineapple, cucumber and tempe.. :-)

I ordered Ice Lemon Tea but taste kinda weird and they need to make it taste better..

Overall: location wise this place is easy to access, no problem with parking but for large crowd we need to make a reservation.
The ambience and Interior Design of this JM Bariani looks comfortable with enough lighting and the background music is just fine, not too loud but I prefer if they play light Hindi song or maybe just instrumental coz this is Indian cuisine so the setting and mood need to blend in.

Cheezels :Quick Snack

I hardly eat junk food since I'm still BF, but today the moment I saw this blue and orange thingy..I knew that I should grab it..

It's my non-healthy-food-cum-snack since there was nothing left when I reached the cafe at 1pm..so I settled for kaya bun and Cheezels instead of nasi campur or nasi ayam..

Ayam Masak Kicap

Simple-Sunday Ayam Masak Kicap for the whole family

I loves always loves chicken, be it Malay style, Chinese, Indian or Western. We had Ayam Masak Kicap for lunch on Sunday and it was don't my way..which is very simple way..no need to much ingredient..I just chopped the chicken into smaller pieces, mix them with soy sauce (i normally use Kicap Tamin), a little bit of salt, tumeric powder and fry with just 3 spoon oil, when the chicken is tender, I add some sliced onion and potato (I used Russet Burbank which are very soft and that's why I put it at later stage)..and lastly some sliced tomato with red chillie...

Ayam Masak Kicap from different angle
Sometimes I add some ground pepper to gives some spicy flavour, but since this has became family meal, I have to omit the pepper..to hot for my little daughter.

We also had Kari Ayam/Chicken Curry yesterday but for this version I did not use any santan or milk..just Simple-Sunday Lunch :-)
I loves eating chicken curry with hot sliced bread...yum yum ..especially roti benggali - I could finish one big loaf for myself..
