Birthday Party Tips

Birthday celebration is something that everybody will look forward..the kids and the parents will be busy with cake, the ballons, the food and invitation.

Preparing food for toddler is a bit different from adult..we should pay attention to their age group, food tolerancy/allergy, nutritiens..but sometimes its okay to lavish on certain sugary things..just once a year..

Menu for the kids:
  • fried noodle or bihun - no pepper, mix it with grated carrot for some colour,
  • cocktail sausage- steam / boiled
  • cheese stick
  • sandwiches
  • fruits and juices
  • homeade pudding/jelly
  • currypuff - again no pepper please
Prepare a week ahead on the invitation, a day before-- clean the house and prepare the setting

Safety precaution - ensure that no glass jar or vase left on the floor, candles should be avoided on table deco for kids birthday.

Jeruk mangga

Everybody loves this simple snack..its easy to make and we don't need extra ingredient to prepare it..it can be mempelam/manggo, cermai, betik / papaya...

I always peel the skin and cut into small pieces (manggo and papaya)and wash dan drain, mix them with salt and sugar and refrigerate for one day, and later mix again with a little bit of sugar..and that's it...but we can sprinkle it with red chillies for some extra hot..

Mangga / mango../mempelam....choose a young one with the lfesh still hard and fresh and still sour be it mempelam sala, mempelam telur, chukanan ..

Jeruk mangga and betik..eat them plainly like this or with kuah rojak Mak Bee..simply amazing..and don't forget ais kacang with lots of kacang merah and buah nau..heaven...

Saba,Cyberjaya Middle Eastern Restaurant

Saba Restaurant in Cyberjaya is our usual place for dinner or entertaining guest, we simply loves the food especially the rice which is not too heavy with spices and their Lamb Hanith.

This restaurant is only 20 minutes from Putrajaya and located not far from Ariana and Secret Recipe. It's easy to find the location, just set your GPS and follow the instruction..it is at Persiaran Multimedia and the building is made of red bricks..

There are variety kind of meal to choose from and the portion is quite big, they have chicken, lamb and beef..but we really loves Lamb Hanith which is wrapped in aluminium foiled and cooked until tender, and its juicy... it comes with salad (diced tomato and cucumber) and tomato and chillie mix..

The other special menu is mint tea, a pot of tea with mix of mint leaves inside that gives the aroma of sweetness and their lemon juice is something not to be miss as well as their malt drink..

Sufiya enjoying her portion of Lamb Hanith..she really loves the rice

Browsing the menu...they have many choices of meal, I forgot the snap the menu..but it is worth it..but don't expect the dishes come with gravy like mamak restaurant..but during this visit they started pleasing local customer with curry..I think it's dhal..but I really like their meal with any gravy..

The price for two adult and small kids was only RM27.00 plus..not that expensive considering its big portion

*Saba is a name of a kingdom
