Chakri Xpress : Alamanda

I've been planning to dine here since I went to JM Bariani House next door and yesterday I got the opportunity to taste Thai Food at Chakri Xpress Alamanda Outlet. The place is located next to JM Bariani House at Alamanda Esplanade- ground floor.

The Menu Book : all delicacies are written in Thai's name but with description of the food to be served.
Front cover of Chakri Xpress Menu..featuring beautiful Thai woman in traditional costume, the staff that greet us at the main door are fully dressed up in their traditional costume as well

Appertizer : forgot the name but there were fried prawn, spring roll, fish fritters (tod man pla) and other fried thingy with sweet and spicy Thai sauce. We also ordered other menu and I think it was also a spring roll but with cheese inside..so delicious

Warm water and cold plain water :-), I asked for warm water but they send me both..I had watermelon juice but no ice, and some of us been adventerous trying other type of drink like Pussy Foot (a mixture of raw egg and ..i don't know..),Cinderella (i think it was pineapple with milk), Lemongrass Juice..

My set lunch: Prawn Combo, it comes with rice, nicely put in a yellow crisp keropok, manggo and papaya kerabu, fried prawn and sunny side up..i like their food presentation, complete with different size plate and ddecorated with banana leaves. Thai always took time to prepare their food especially the presentation part. I like fruit carving with intricate design, it show their passion of fine dining.

Another set lunch: Chakri Combo

Ohh.. I loves this seat with animal print and bold place mat laid on black table top..

Chakri Xpress cashier counter..a little bit too high for petite people like me ;-)

This is the exterior of Chakri Xpress..with high glass panel and dynamic view of the interior

I loves this chair for external dining area, they look comfy but stylish in apple green

Thailand is part of Asia, therefore the infuence of local culture is still prominent, this small feature really brings out the Asian theme, light bulb decorated in a bamboo shade
