Hubby got a new hobby..and he just launched his long lost passion for fishing, but since last week he has been scouting at Equin Park shoplot looking for fresh prawn..it was not a wet market but a place for kaki pancing to lepak and mengail udang..the rate for one hour is RM15, they surely know how to make money yeah..?

Our simple menu ..not to spoilt the freshness of these prawn, we opted to just cut off the tail and part of its head and hot the pan, put some butter and let the prawn turn red..and served hot..and all of them gone during lunch ;-)

Ikan Selar Kuning Masak Asam this is the most simple recipe when i'm in hurry.

Kenny Rogers @ Alamanda Putrajaya

I had lunch alone yesterday at Kenny Rogers since the place is near to MPH and other store that I need to visit..I like the ambience here with their red spiral motives on lower part of their glass panel..and they have a nice comfy red chair as well.

Whenever we are at Kenny Rogers, my usual menu is Beef Spaggeti but yesterday I choosed Quarter Chicken with Aromatic Rice, Fruit Salad and Macaroni Cheese plus Vanilla Muffin and hot tea. The food was good as usual and I managed to finished them all. The ambience was pleasant, the crowd was great, the music was easy to listen to...BUT..I don't like their glasses..!! They served me with glass that was chipped off..on the part that we gonna sip the tea..just imagine if I did not check it first..I might end up seeing a doctor..I informed the waiter and they substitued a new one but unfortunately the new glass have the same problem but not at the same area, so just ignored it and finish my drink.

I did informed them after I paid my meal..just imagine if a kids got those kind of glass, they might just used it..maybe the person in the kitchen were to brutal..habis semua gelas Kenny Rogers chipped off....

No picture for this entry..malas nak snap photo..

Ipoh White Coffee - Kluang, Johore

We went to Kluang on official visit and stayed at the Prime City Hotel on Friday and check out this afternoon. It was just a short trip down south and we can't explore much...just had dinner at this place - Ipoh White Coffee ala kopitiam with typical kopitiam menu, but the price are considerably affordable.

This restaurant is located next to Giant's entrance at ground floor, it is easy to spot by the road side..got wifi - good for blogger and net surfer :-0 but their water feature look DEAD..At first it thought it was just a drain :-(

The shop..with green signboard

it was full moon last nite but i could not snap that scene..busy ..busy,..

waiting for our food

my hazelnut white coffee...it taste so good with nice aroma..but i could only go for one small cup like this...and i had a sleepless nite..;-O

we both ordered nasi ayam rendang...but it also comes with fried and sambal anchovies..they served all their dishes in plain black wares, but i think it is better to served on white because we could appreciate the food more rather than get distracted by the colour...

I like this place because the menu are variety..we also tried their roti bakar..and the location is near to where we stay

Ariana Persian Food : Cyberjaya

The first time I tried Persian food was not in Iran but on the way to London onboard of Iran Air, I like their delicacies especially their meat recipes which are light with spices but the taste is good and we could still taste the flavour of Middle Eastern food.

We had the opportunity to try Persian food today at Ariana, Cyberjaya. This resturant is famous among Middle Eastern working in Cyberjaya, they occupied two lots to accomodate big crowd during lunch time.

This is dining area and tea making counter is on the right while food counter is on the other side. The interior does not look much like Middle Eastern restaurant except for their diners..

Ariana's menu book..simple but helpful because they put on photos with description of each menu.

They are many type of beef to choose..I like koobideh kebab, it reminds me of Tehran. Koobideh kebab is made of ground beef

We also tried their Mast O Khiar yogurt..a combination of yogurt and chopped cucumber, flavored with mint..but I think one small bowl is just enough for one person..we also had Garden Salad and Persian Salad..I just love the dressing..I think its yogurt dressing..

When you are in Iran, act like one of them..and when you are in their restaurant..you should ask their special Iranian tea..so we had a big glass of Iranian Tea which is light and so relaxing..I wish I had two glass...hmmm..maybe next time. When we were in Tehran, tea was served with sugar cube and you have to place the cube on your tounge and then you sip the tea slowly...what an interesting tea drinking culture ;)

Garden Salad and Sultani Kebab..I like their rice which come with Persian Rice (light rice with saffron mix and a cube of butter) and the portion is big..
The meat is tender and juicy and the portion is enough for one hungry woman like me who eat a lot lately.. :-O

Maybe next time I will try their Lamb Shank which look yummy with its orange gravy..

Chakri Xpress : Alamanda

I've been planning to dine here since I went to JM Bariani House next door and yesterday I got the opportunity to taste Thai Food at Chakri Xpress Alamanda Outlet. The place is located next to JM Bariani House at Alamanda Esplanade- ground floor.

The Menu Book : all delicacies are written in Thai's name but with description of the food to be served.
Front cover of Chakri Xpress Menu..featuring beautiful Thai woman in traditional costume, the staff that greet us at the main door are fully dressed up in their traditional costume as well

Appertizer : forgot the name but there were fried prawn, spring roll, fish fritters (tod man pla) and other fried thingy with sweet and spicy Thai sauce. We also ordered other menu and I think it was also a spring roll but with cheese inside..so delicious

Warm water and cold plain water :-), I asked for warm water but they send me both..I had watermelon juice but no ice, and some of us been adventerous trying other type of drink like Pussy Foot (a mixture of raw egg and ..i don't know..),Cinderella (i think it was pineapple with milk), Lemongrass Juice..

My set lunch: Prawn Combo, it comes with rice, nicely put in a yellow crisp keropok, manggo and papaya kerabu, fried prawn and sunny side up..i like their food presentation, complete with different size plate and ddecorated with banana leaves. Thai always took time to prepare their food especially the presentation part. I like fruit carving with intricate design, it show their passion of fine dining.

Another set lunch: Chakri Combo

Ohh.. I loves this seat with animal print and bold place mat laid on black table top..

Chakri Xpress cashier counter..a little bit too high for petite people like me ;-)

This is the exterior of Chakri Xpress..with high glass panel and dynamic view of the interior

I loves this chair for external dining area, they look comfy but stylish in apple green

Thailand is part of Asia, therefore the infuence of local culture is still prominent, this small feature really brings out the Asian theme, light bulb decorated in a bamboo shade
